A Call To Action

I am reaching out to you to partner with me to make a difference. When the last big chain Christian bookstore closed its doors for the final time in our community, a void was created. We are without a place to conveniently pick up Bibles, books, gifts, resources, and church supplies. Individuals who are searching for God and hope, but are not comfortable enough to enter into the Culture of the Church are without. Hurting people that need a gentle touch, a warm smile, and a prayer are left wanting. I have experienced first hand the benefits of a Christian Bookstore in the community and my heart aches to know that if we sit on the sidelines this time, we will continue to be without a Christian bookstore that many times turned into a lighthouse for the bound and broken.

For this reason, I am appealing to you to join with me and be the hands and feet of Jesus, by supporting a new Christian bookstore called The Retreat. Together we can be a part of love in action. We can meet the need to not only supply Christian resources that uplift and encourage, but also set people free. Here is your opportunity to go beyond church walls and participate in local missions that will heal, grow, and transform. While this may seem like a big task, nothing is impossible with God and what could be challenging for one becomes easy when many get involved. Working together to make a difference in the lives of others is the way of the Kingdom. 

The Retreat will sell Christian books and resources as well as serve as a faith-based gathering spot that will be much more than just a bookstore. Yes, churches will be able to conveniently pick up their communion supplies, but it will also be a place where friends can connect over tea. This will be a safe place to learn and grow based on Christian principles. Workshops and activities will be made available for Men, Women, and children. The Retreat will be a place to linger, learn, and purchase life changing resources.

Donations will be used to secure a location, manage start-up cost, and purchase inventory. Currently, we have found a location that will provide adequate space to display inventory and host activities that promote community. Join us in praying for God to open doors for this location. We also will use the donations to manage start-up cost. Additionally, donations will be used to purchase a thoughtful curated selection of Bibles, Christian books, resources, gifts and church supplies. 

It is my hope that you will see the great need and join me to make a difference in the lives of so many individuals who are counting on us to get involved today. We are much better together! Together we can fill this void and carry out the most important commandments to love God and to love others. Thank you in advance.
